On June 5th 2008 several members of the Columbia and Construction offices participated on the annual JDRF Real Estate Games. For those not familiar with the games, it is an annual event held at American University in DC that allows companies from the entire spectrum of our industry to come together and raise money for juvenile diabetes research. This years turn out of over 70 companies and 1,500 people raised over $400,000 to help the cause.

The participants get to compete in events that range from the 100 yard dash to the Big Ball relay; from Volleyball to Chair Hockey. It is truly THE sporting event of the DC metro area, and perhaps the world. Where else would you get to see the tower of power which is Craig Johnson get to don a women's one piece bathing suit and a tiara while running full tilt across a gym in flip flops? Not the Olympics, I'll tell you that right now. In the spirit of charity Allen & Shariff provided stiff competition, but allowed the other companies to win all of the events we competed in to help up their self esteem.
